VENINI _ AREA MANAGER USA&CANADA

Venini, a renowned Italian company specializing in high-quality artistic glass, is seeking an Area Manager to oversee sales and operations across the Wholesale and Retail channels in USA and Canada. Based preferably in New York, the candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, developing the regional sales strategy, and enhancing brand presence through both direct retail and key distribution partners in the North American market.

Responsibilities:

  • Wholesale Channel Management & Development:
  • Identify and develop new wholesale partners throughout the U.S. and Canadian markets, with a focus on high-end department stores, design retailers, and galleries.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing wholesale clients, offering tailored support to optimize their performance and promote Venini’s collections.
  • Provide training, sales materials, and strategic input to enhance the effectiveness of the wholesale network.

Retail Channel Oversight:

  • Supervise Venini’s retail presence in North America, including flagship stores and shop-in-shops, ensuring consistent customer experience and brand representation.
  • Monitor retail performance and operations, implement best practices, and lead in-store teams toward sales excellence and high service standards.
  • Oversee visual merchandising to align with Venini’s brand identity and seasonal campaigns.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Define and execute annual business plans aligned with the brand's global commercial strategy.
  • Track market trends, sales KPIs, and customer behaviors to inform strategic decisions and refine local positioning.
  • Deliver regular performance reports and business updates to regional and global leadership.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales and retail team, managing hiring, onboarding, and continuous training.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture across the sales network.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Liaise with marketing, PR, and product teams to ensure the alignment of product launches, communication strategies, and client events.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely deliveries and efficient operations.

    Business Development in the Contract Sector:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with architects, interior designers, and project developers to proactively identify and intercept contract projects in the local market.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to position Venini's products within high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Wholesale and Retail sales, ideally in the luxury, design, home décor, or fine art sectors.
  • Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the U.S. and Canadian premium retail landscape and consumer behavior.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to grow sales, develop strategic partnerships, and lead commercial negotiations.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and inspire sales and retail teams.
  • Language: Fluent in English; French is a plus for the Canadian market.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.
  • Proactive & Results-Oriented: Entrepreneurial attitude, able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
