Role purpose
The Marketing Manager will lead the development of Rocca as a retail brand and luxury destination, translating its House of Brands model into a distinctive positioning, a compelling customer proposition and an integrated marketing calendar that drives awareness, traffic, engagement and commercial performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a marketer who combines strategic thinking and strong brand sensitivity with the ability to manage execution in detail. The position will lead a small team of two and coordinate internal specialists, agencies, stores and brand partners across the full marketing ecosystem.
The role reports directly to the Chief Retail Officer for the Rocca brand, with a functional reporting line to the Damiani Group CMO to ensure alignment with Group marketing strategy, standards, capabilities and shared functions.
Key responsibilities
Brand strategy and development
- Define and progressively strengthen Rocca's brand positioning, value proposition, narrative and distinctive identity as a luxury jewellery and watch retail destination.
- Lead the development and implementation of the Rocca Brand Book and brand guidelines, ensuring a coherent expression across stores, events, digital channels, content and client touchpoints.
- Build the House of Brands concept into a clear consumer proposition that enhances both Rocca's equity and the desirability of its partner Maisons.
- Translate strategic direction into practical creative briefs, communication platforms, campaigns and activation toolkits.
Retail marketing and traffic generation
- Develop an annual retail marketing calendar aligned with commercial priorities, store needs, launches, local opportunities and key client moments.
- Design integrated initiatives that drive qualified traffic, appointments, conversion, client acquisition and loyalty across the boutique network.
- Adapt national marketing priorities into relevant local plans, while creating scalable frameworks for international markets as Rocca expands.
- Partner closely with Retail, Sales, CRM and E-commerce to connect marketing activity with client development and measurable business outcomes.
Integrated activation and content
- Coordinate events, visual merchandising, digital marketing, CRM, social media, content production and in-store communication as one coherent 360-degree plan.
- Set priorities and briefs for the events team, ensuring events contribute to the brand strategy, client experience and commercial objectives.
- Define content needs and oversee the development of campaign, editorial, social and retail assets, maintaining quality and consistency across channels.
- Lead detailed operational projects when required, from gifting catalogues and client materials to store toolkits, invitations and activation follow-up.
Partner brand management
- Build credible and productive relationships with the marketing teams of key partner Maisons, including brands such as Rolex and Cartier.
- Develop joint marketing plans that respect each Maison's identity while supporting Rocca's positioning, customer proposition and commercial priorities.
- Coordinate co-marketing proposals, approvals, assets, budgets and execution, ensuring professional standards and timely delivery.
- Identify opportunities to leverage partner expertise, launches and investment while protecting the consistency of the Rocca brand.
Team, budget and executional excellence
- Lead, coach and prioritize the work of a two-person marketing team, creating clear ownership, development and accountability.
- Manage agencies, suppliers and cross-functional contributors, establishing strong briefs, timelines and quality controls.
- Own marketing budget planning and tracking, balancing brand-building priorities with commercial return and operational discipline.
- Introduce clear KPIs and post-activation reviews to improve effectiveness, scalability and return on investment over time.
Candidate profile
- Approximately 6 to 10 years of experience in marketing, brand management or retail marketing, ideally within luxury, premium retail, fashion, jewellery, watches, beauty or hospitality.
- Current Marketing Manager, or a high-potential Marketing Coordinator or Senior Brand Manager ready to take broader ownership and lead a small team.
- Demonstrated ability to move between strategy and execution, from defining a positioning or annual plan to personally driving detailed deliverables.
- Strong understanding of branding and 360-degree activation across retail, events, CRM, digital, social, content and visual merchandising.
- Commercial and customer-oriented mindset, with experience connecting marketing activity to traffic, acquisition, conversion and loyalty.
- Credibility, maturity and communication skills to engage senior internal stakeholders and marketing counterparts at leading luxury Maisons.
- Strong project management, budget discipline and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Fluent Italian and English. Additional languages are an advantage.
