Business Develop Director 

 

THE CONTEXT

With the recent acquisition of Baume & Mercier, Damiani Group is entering in a new chapter and we are rebuilding a lean, entrepreneurial commercial team.

 

ROLE PURPOSE

You own the commercial performance of APAC/MEIA Areas .

You are the bridge between HQ (product, marketing, supply), Brands and local team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Business Development 

- Ensure each market reach month wholesale turnover, margin, and SO for your Area.

- Drive annual commercial plan per market: sell-in target, door productivity, assortment.

- Manage allocations in collaboration with Supply Chain - especially novelties.

- Monthly business reviews with each market: KPI tracking (sell-in, sell-out, stock cover, aging).

- Support / facilitate: Corporate deal, Opening/Renovation

- Leading Key account management for your respective Area. Direct implication on negotiation / Strategy

 

2. Market Coordination & Distribution Elevation 

- This is the core of the role: *Strong Coordination of Markets*

- Harmonize pricing, launch timing, VM, and communication across markets to avoid grey and cross-border leakage.

- Lead distributor transition from Richemont legacy to Damiani standards

- Monitoring Opening / Closure / Renovation and Capex per Country  

- Coordinate regional launches: ensure same luxury execution.

- Animate Area community: quarterly Area calls, best practice sharing,  

 

3. Distribution Excellence & Brand Coordination & Training (20%)

- Ensure doors meet Damiani Group luxury standards: VM compliance, storytelling, SOSI  

- Ensure the market knows each Damiani Group brand protfolio and coordinate training (jewellery language, watch technical, storytelling).

 

KPIs

- Sales_ Area Net Sales vs Budget + Sell-out growth

- Distribution: Opening doors / Renovation 

- Door productivity (sales per door) and elevation

- Stock cover < 12 months and 80% novelty sell-through in 6 months

- At least 2 best practices implemented in your Area (e.g CRM, PR, Communication, Sales...)  

 

Experience -

Minimum 10 years' experience on luxury distribution
